#BeTrueToYou 157-day no makeup challenge #Day8.
Why avocado? Avocado is quite yummy by itself or mashed up in a bowl of guacamole. But this green fruit also has other practical uses for our skin and hair. Avocados remove dead skin cells, leaving your skin soft and hydrated. Avocados are used regularly as natural facial peels and homemade face masks. I have never tried an avocado mask, but I figure now is a good time as any to jump on the band wagon.
There are a lot of options out there for those who want to try out the infamous avocado mask facial treatment. The ingredients vary from recipe to recipe, but question is, which one works the best? Well, for the next 7 days I am going to try out 7 different recipes with all different ingredients. All the recipes have one thing in common, of course, avocado!
Today, we are going to start with a simple avocado mask recipe:
Step 1: Remove the pit from the avocado and scoop out the remaining pulp out of the peel.
Step 2: Mash the pulp into a fine paste.
Step 3: Gently rub the inside of the avocado skins against clean skin for 3-5 minutes.
Step 4: Apply the mashed avocado pulp on face and leave it for 10 minutes.
Step 5: Feel the tingle!
Step 6: Rinse with lukewarm water.
Use this avocado face peel and mask once a week.
